DESCRIPTION

The PS-15 Series II is a second generation ProStax 15" 3-Way cabinet. An improved addition to Cerwin-Vega뭩 ProStax series, the PS-15 Series II features the following benefits:

  • Greater power handling
  • Increased efficiency
  • Internal flying braces and 35 mm socket mount

The PS-15 Series II incorporates a newly designed 15" woofer with a larger magnet, better heat sink characteristics, and tighter tolerances. While still featuring a 3" voice coil and diecast aluminum frame, the sensitivity of the woofer has been increased by 3 dB! This makes the PS-15 Series II a better value because one cabinet will do the job where two were previously required.

The M-130 midrange compression driver has a 2" voice coil and phenolic diaphragm coupled to a 2" throat with a 3 to 1 compression ratio. The 1" horn-loaded tweeter has a dual-slot phasing plug for extended high-frequency response to 20 kHz. It uses a unique ferrofluid cooling system that virtually eliminates power compression.

The cabinet is true to the ProStax line with trapezoidal shape and curved front featuring a perforated steel protective grille. Included are four built-in ATM Fly-WareTM internal braces for cabinet suspension. Connecting eye bolts are available separately from Cerwin-Vega.

See the eye bolt installation sheets for safety factors and load ratings.

IMPORTANT! OVERHEAD RIGGING REQUIRES EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) CALCULATING WORKING LOAD LIMITS, HARDWARE INSTALLATION, AND PERIODIC SAFETY INSPECTION OF ALL HARDWARE AND CABINETRY. IF YOU LACK THESE QUALIFICATIONS, DO NOT ATTEMPT THE INSTALLATION YOURSELF, BUT INSTEAD USE A PROFESSIONAL STRUCTURAL RIGGER. IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN RESULT IN BODILY INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. CONSULT A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER TO CALCULATE ADDED LOADS FOR A BUILDING. STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT MAY BE NECESSARY TO INSURE A SAFE INSTALLATION
